This feature allows a user the ability to clear the previous inspection flags from a tour and begin to reinspect this route like it was the first tour.  The benefit of this feature is that it retains the previous inspection information for the route and ends the previous tour. A new tour is created for the restarted route.

This is a great feature for the users who have reoccurring inspections such as security rounds and cannot or prefers not to sync between tours.   This feature allows the user to restart or resume an existing tour and be able to work throughout the day performing the tours with a clean slate.

To use Restart Route you first have to enable the feature which is user restricted. The user group will require having miscellaneous rights to be enable/disable this feature on the mobile device.

To access the setting, open the menu and select Settings.



On the Settings page select Miscellaneous.



On the Miscellaneous page toggle Restart Route on. This turns the feature on for the device, regardless of the user who logs in. It will stay on until it is disabled.



Once the feature is enabled it will be triggered each time a user exits and then re-enters a route.  When a route is exited and re-entered a pop-up will appear asking the user to confirm whether they would like to resume or restart. When resume is selected, inspection completion icons from previously completed work such as checkmarks will be displayed so that the user can resume from where he/she left off. When restart is selected the completion icons are cleared so that the user can start a new tour.
