A table of all equipment categories can be viewed on the Manage Categories screen. This is access from the Admin page at Manage Subtables –> Manage Category. Administrator permissions are required to access this screen.
New categories can be created by simply typing them into the category field when creating new equipment types, it is not required to add them on this screen. The main purpose of the Manage Category screen is to view, export, and delete categories.
A category can only be deleted if it is not being used and does not have any associated records in the system. The “Assigned?” column shows whether the category is being used. If Assigned = No, a category can be deleted by checking the box to the left of the category name and pressing delete at the top of the screen.
